Although you don't have to pay to register to be a donor, by making a contribution you will help subsidize the high cost of lab tests. There is a special need to increase the number of Southeast-Asian donors. While anyone who participates in registration through the drives listed on this site can do so for free, the actual lab test required to process samples is relatively expensive (around $100 each). The minimum target for Asia is 30,000 new Southeast-Asian donors, which means we need to raise $1.5 million.
